Harry Potter

The party turned out like I expected it would, with a few twists. The head of the poetry readings at another coffee shop that I have yet to step foot in was Dumbledore. Tall and lanky with a long white beard, he fit the part perfectly.

They had drinks and cookies and a few weird treats, like every flavored beans. The vomit and dirt tasted horrible, but the booger was definitely the worst.

As for the book, of course I'm not done. It's Mrs. Zombieslayer's so I have to wait until she takes a shower, does her make-up, has a bite to eat, or naps until I could read it. I'm almost on 200. Don't worry, I won't give away any spoilers, but I urge you not to read book 6 until you've read at least the latest two or three. It won't make sense.

Excellent reading so far. Ms. Rowling has lost none of her magic. As for me, the Mrs. is making herself lunch so it's back to Harry Potter 6. :)

I avoided the late-night pillaging and plundering of bookstores and leisurely strolled in today for my copy... I read faster than most of my friends, so I figured that I could spot them the time. Alas, I may be lost to the world for a couple of days.

We have two ma & pa bookstores in our humble community. They are doing parties and everything and selling the book at a good price. Wann hear the annoying thing? The grocery store, Ralph's is selling the book for like four dollars less than the ma & pa stores and they're having a party!
STUPID!!
Why do the big guns have to get involved like that? They are not even a book retailer--they sell food for Pete's sake!
Grrr.

Sat July 16. My alter ego sat outside our local book store and all 21 books of his, he had, were sold to punters waiting for the H P Publication to go on sale. He has ordered 100 more.

Sounds like our house. The new book gathers no dust!
I'm being "nice" this time. I'll let L read it first. I'm in the process of rereading the other 5, so I'm not that "nice". Z never finished 5, so he's tackling that now.

I will just patiently wait for my sister to finish her copy then borrow it.
the movies are nice but I honsestlyu can't think of a single movie that has been better than the original book.

Oh wait, yes I can. Moby Dick.

I'm done with it now. I won't give any spoilers, but I really don't think this should be read by the young ones. It's a lot more teen-age/adult and has some parts that I don't know if a young child could handle.

Excellent book though. Like 4 and 5, I'll give it 10 dead zombies.

I'm about 3/4 through the book. It's interesting to get all the background on Voldemort.

I await your review when you finish.

Ann - I'm the same. Stayed up that night and finished the book. I couldn't put it down.

Levi - I finished it the first night, but I couldn't write a review without spoilers so I'll wait several months to write it. I'd want more a discussion where it's going next then a real review. However, I'm giving the book 10 dead zombies, which I'll also give to books 4 and 5.
