Brett Farve is about as cool as it gets. If I ever achieve 1/25th of his ruggedness I'll feel good about myself as a man.

Zombie - It's too bad we don't live close by. I thought about playing D&D many times but have nobody that would be remotely interested as a friend. There is no better feeling than a homerun smack, and I love Top Ramen too, but I like to put an egg in it. But the real inspiration for my reply is this: read George R.R. Martin if you want to pick up a fantasy series that will blow your mind. Warning, he is still writing them, but he hooked me real good. Amazing writer who has created a world that is just plain old medieval, mixed with a little magic. Good stuff. Oh, and there is no riff like the one in Crazy Train. I tried to learn it to no avail.

Levi - Favre's the man. He's the only QB I've ever see get in a DT's face and the DT backed down.

Scott - I have never hit a homerun in my life. I strike out too much too. It's funny, I coach baseball, but I can't play it worth a d***.

As for George R.R. Martin, I'll check him out. I already told Clothosfate that I'll read The Dark Tower books and have yet to start those. Plus there's an author that Liquidplastic told me to check out. I'll definitely start doing book reviews when I get back to reading again. I read in spurts. A dozen books in a month, then nothing for six months.

And of course Crazy Train is one of my fav songs.

Hey-O!
That would be great fun to have a blogger's party somewhere.

You have to read the Dark Tower Series by Stephen King, remember?! Pleeeeeese? You won't be sorry. There are even zombie like characters in it called 'slow mutants'. Tell 'em Levi!
Fun post. I love reading things like this.

Scott-I love Top Ramen too. Egg? Weird. I like petite peas in mine. I think that was the first thing I posted on Shawn's blog--petite peas.

Thanks for the peek inside the head of Zombieslayer. Man, I can tell you'd have so much fun with all your little friends up here in N. CA, so let these be some of the bloggers you want to know more.
The ones about your wife and son choked me up. Faithful men are like the Star Spangled Banner, or something, it always touches me.

ZS - Can't dance, eh? You'd be in good company with my b/f. /sad sigh

However, the fact that you can cook makes up for the lack of dancing. :-P

Notta - If I remember correctly, you listed dancing as a sexy attribute in a man. That I definitely don't have. :(

Michele - It's God Bless America for me. Love that song, and it's one of the reasons I love this country so much - it's gorgeous.

I'm trying to head back to NoCal. So much nicer than SoCal and the people are warmer, friendlier, and without ulterior motives. Not that there aren't good people in SoCal, they are just harder to find.

Sadie - That would be great. I'll try to defend against your volleyball spikes.

The Dark Tower is #1 on my list of books to read, so I will soon, don't worry.

ZS - Your dancing comment reminds me of the dorky Brawny commercial where the guy in flannel is making a cake, holding a puppy, AND cleaning up a mess with, of course, a Brawny paper towel. H asked me what I thought was so funny when I was laughing at this commercial and why women would find this commercial so appealing. My response? "It's g-d sexy when a man knows his way around a kitchen and can actually clean up his own mess". That's a long way of me saying that, yes, it would be nide if a guy could dance, but there are other things....

I hope you're tall.
Let us know when you start the series. Then I can get all excited about sharing the journey with yet another soul.
First my mother shared it with me, then I shared it with Levi then he shared it with his mom--now you.
by the way--Thanks again for slaying more than just zombies in my defense.
;) you know of which I speak.

I'm the one that said dancing well is sexy in a man on Sadie's blog. I added, however, if a guy just dances he gets big points, because it means he's fun. Actually dorky dancing is way cute. Levi has a cute little dancing style. Maybe if you come up, we'll play volleyball and you and Levi can dorky-dance.
Sadie, bad news, I'm not totally digging the Dark Tower. Don't let that hinder you, though, Zombie. It just might be me. (but probably not.)

Michele - Ah, that's right. I warned you I have C.R.S.

Don't worry, I'll still dance.

Sadie - Yeah, kind of pissed me off she jumped to that conclusion that you were forcing your beliefs. Some people get defensive without even bothering to listen to what people are saying.

As for my volleyball defense, I have no jumping skills whatsoever, but I've been known for leaping for spiked balls and keeping them in the air.

Bsoholic - Hate to disappoint you, but it's no Cloak & Dagger. Rather, folks slaughter my name so I just say something like Johnson.

Notta - I'll have you have you over for a bar-be-que sometime. Savage here seems to enjoy my cooking and we'll have half a dozen people over gabbing for hours. Good times.

Good to see you taking your clothes off one piece at a time. Your wife will get pissed if you remove those BVD's ... so careful.

This is so revealing ... I am with you on number 1, 25, 26, & 51, no doubt about it ... although I am not always hungry for food to eat ... these day I am real hungry for knowledge, but not from books.

1. I loved this post.

It made me laugh and almost cry, and made me feel like I know you better... hahaha. How wierd and wonderful is that, that we can feel we know someone better whom we've only ever known through blogs... this is a strange and magical time, the communication revolution.

My absolute favorite points :
4. My parents are still married
8. I'm proud of my cooking skills (yum)
21. I use a fake name when I reserve a table at a restaurant (hahaha)
25. I will always be obsessed with fantasy everything (hear hear)
32. I'm still crazy about my wife (its amazing how sexy this point is)
33. I'm proud of my son
39. My next project is an animatronic baby dragon
40. I have yet to start it
51. I still have faith in the human race (I feel ya)

Yet another post that inspires me... I hope you don't mind if I borrow the idea...?

Clothosfate - Please do. Looking forward to reading it. I stole this idea from Thom.

LP - Hmm...I didn't think of it that way. But it's true with me that I'm always hungry for knowledge as well as food. Good to see you like fantasy too.

Bridget - Thanks. I do wish I was better at the swing though. Love that dance. My wife refuses to dance with me though. She won't tell me why.

TC - Alaska's America's last frontier. There's just not much frontier left in this world except for the bottom of the ocean. After that, it's space.

Moni - You like Queen? That's too cool. Love Night at the Opera.

Notta - Okay. I'll let you know when. :)

Sadie - Well, I think Michele is out voted. So far, I've gotten several orders to read those books.

Dave - I thought it was top secret that the Zombieslayer Institute of Technology (Z.I.T.) and RIPP have a secret project together.

1. I'm always hungry too. But, I never seem to eat. And it's not on purpose.
2. I've lived here all my life.
4. You're blessed and rare.
5. For a girl, I have a pretty good arm.
8. Good, at least one of us is.
9. Uh, street fighting? 'Cause let's rock 'n roll, bitches. God, I'm ghetto.
11. That's rad. I used to be the same way. A pack lasts me freakin' forever.
12. As in noodles?
16. Don't take her now. All this Global Warming stuff is going on.
17. You play guitar. It's hot. Period.
19. Amen!
21. Haha. Dork!
22. I'm the one you WANT to know. =P
27. Let's do this!
28-31. She knows.
32. For this, you leave me hope and put a smile on my face. She's a lucky lady.
33. You're every son's dream. My son's not so lucky.
34. Ditto. But it hurt to pick between the three.
36. Uh, it's pretty crazy the different types that "talk" to me.
38. Wow. I know you worded it so simple, but it seems so deep.
50. I'll teach you to dance. Then you can work your new found skill on your wife.
51. For this, you're my hero of the week.

Did I tell you I have a hero of the week? Maybe I should start blogging it.

Too many things to respond to. Very interesting stuff. I'll have to do one eventually.

I agree with Sadie - Dark Tower is a MUST read. It's not "typical" Stephen King. You just have to get through the first one - The man in black fled across the desert and the gunslinger followed... for the ENTIRE book... After that it gets GREAT. And now the series is finished so you don't have to wait 3 years to continue like I did.

Are you kidding? I had to wait like 5 years after I read Wizard and Glass. I started the series in highschool.
It was nice when the last three came out all close together.

Dude - makes me want to put on "Crazy Train", get out the D&D and put on my Cheese-head hat.

Okay, I don't really have a cheese-head hat, but I always sort of wanted one. The Denver Bronco plastic hat thingies are not nearly as cool.

Thanks for the laugh - Ben O.

Dave - I'm sure I'm sure. You think Tori looks like a horse? I think she's cute. She was rollerblading in a dress in San Francisco with that smirk she always has on her face.

Thom - The problem is, we'd lose the football. You know how when you were a kid, you always managed to get balls stuck on the roof? Well, if we knock some balls over the compound wall, we're not getting them back.

Jenbeauty - Thanks. I'm not tagging you or anything, but if you'd want to give it a try... :)

Sadie - Wow. You seem to be as into those books as I am into Harry Potter books. I need to get started.

Kris - And you make the martinis and it will be all good.

Laura - Nice thing about King is he does a lot that's not typical Stephen King. Forgot the name, but once I read one of a Prince trapped in a tower. That was excellent, but not typical King as well.

By the way, please do the list. I know you have ink, own a chopper, are indifferent about the Bears...

Slade - Before you shoot them, take a Sharpie and put an evil face on them with big buck teeth. That's our tradition.

ZL - You play? I bought my son $91 of Warhammer stuff and helped him make a killer table with realistic looking terrain. He never plays though. :(

SME - I need to start cracking on that dragon. I'll put a video clip of it in action when I finish it. Unfortunately, I won't get it done by this Halloween.

Jenn - You play D&D? We'll definitely get some good campaigns going when the zombies come. I hope there's a DM out there because I want to be a player. I'm tired of being the DM.

As for street fighting, I'd rather fight in the ring with a mouthpiece. I like my teeth too much.

I want to see your hero of the week series. That would be cool. We need more positive vibes going around.

Blogger The Zombieslayer said...

Ben O. - Welcome. You play D&D and like Randy Rhoads? You'll definitely be welcome in my anti-zombie compound when the zombies come. :)

By the way, I have utmost respect for Bronco fans. They'll have a blizzard and they'll still find a way to make it to the game.
